Full Abstract: The focus of the Katz efforts on this project are investigate water quantity and quality of alternative water sources including HVAC condensate, reclaimed and reused water, and municipal drinking water. Three projects have been on-going that have examined 1: the impact of water source on cooling tower water; 2) understanding water quantity and quality associated with HVAC condensate from residential buildings; and 3) developing and validating models for predicting water quality in distribution systems and premise plumbing.
